AA 017: UCLA Roommate Exposed and Why Hot Guys Date Ugly Girls

This week we’re depressed about school starting again, so we’re all over the place with topics. First we discuss the UCLA roommate drama that recently hit the media – here’s the link to an article with the full email: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3786964/Student-sends-angry-list-demands-future-roommates-ve-met.html

After that, it’s time to answer YOUR questions. First up, we tackle a tricky situation where a girl accidentally becomes the “other woman.” Should she tell the girlfriend?! Next up, we’re talking productivity and procrastination. We all have different ways of being productive, and we share our best tips. Then we talk JOBS in college. Should you get one? How do you maintain good grades while working?

Then we answer a controversial question – why do hot guys date unattractive girls?! We can only speculate on this one, but we’ve got quite a few ideas. Last up, we’re talking roommate probs again. If you have a nocturnal roommate…NOT COOL.

AA 016: The Skinny on Lauryn Evarts & Michael Bosstick

We are VERY excited to have two of our favorite podcasters on as guests in this episode: Lauryn Evarts and Michael Bosstick from The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast! Not only is The Skinny Confidential one of our favorite blogs, but TSC Him & Her Podcast is definitely one of our all-time fave podcasts.

We had a lot of fun in this episode getting some deets about Lauryn and Michael’s relationship. They share their proposal story, their first date, Michael’s most embarrassing moment, and how he picked out the ring. We also get the scoop on the wedding planning (or lack thereof)!

We also bring up the very controversial college issue – do they regret going? (Read the college post on TSC!) Would they do things differently? Michael and Lauryn also give their advice on following your passions and disregarding societal pressures. They give some great tips on starting a business — perf for all you up-and-coming entrepreneurs out there! We wrap things up by discussing dating in college. How is it different from post-grad dating? We also find out about an exciting new launch from Michael – we can’t wait!

You can find Michael & Lauryn’s podcast on iTunes, or you can listen by visiting Lauryn’s blog, The Skinny Confidential. Make sure you subscribe and leave a rating and review to show them some love! These two are also basically professional Snapchatters, so follow them there too (@michaelbosstick and @laurynevarts).

In this episode, we’re discussing a very controversial topic – should you go to college? We talk about the pressures society puts on us to make certain life decisions and if we think those expectations are fair. We also discuss changing majors and choosing career paths. Why are you picking your major? Why do you want a certain career? We talk about the importance of making life decisions for YOU, and not for anyone else. Screw society – YOU DO YOU.
